Happy Mango Imports is owned and operated by us, Dan & Rudi Taylor.  We live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in the small town of Lyons, Colorado along with Emily, the youngest of our 4 daughters, plus 3 horses and 3 dogs. Happy Mango is primarily an internet based company which we operate from our home.  We have been traveling together and importing handicrafts from many parts of the world for more than 20 years.  An abiding love for Guatemala; it's people, culture, beauty and particularly incredible handwoven textiles, has kept us visiting year after year.  Every trip to Guatemala we try to visit a new village or part of the country we haven't seen before.  It's became a fun obsession, plus it's helped us to better understand the Mayan people and their culture.  Research is an ongoing adventure!

A little history.....In the 1980's we established a highly successful import company named "Milagro Imports", offering items from many parts of the world including; Guatemala, Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, Ecuador, Morocco, Dominican Republic and Hong Kong.  Milagro Imports consisted of a retail store and wholesale business offering a huge assortment of ethnic and unique items all hand selected by us.  We eventually sold the company, but never gave up our love of travel.   This led us back to Guatemala and the decision to focus primarily on the beautiful textiles which are produced there.

Our main mission is to provide collectors and enthusiasts with the wonderful textiles of Guatemala, all the while contributing to the long-term economic progress of the Mayan people. Because we love to travel, from time to time you will find the textiles or handicrafts from other countries available for sale in our webstore as well. Everything we sell was personally hand selected by us.
